Tim McNamara has been stacking rock professionally since 1994. He answers his own phone, walks every site himself, writes the estimate himself and then shows up and does the work. There is no sales rep, no project manager and no crew of strangers.
That matters most on the jobs where things go wrong — the wall that needs a deeper footing than anyone planned for, the slope hiding a spring, the clay that will not drain. Those are decisions made by judgment on the day, and Tim is the one making them.
Roughly two-thirds of our highest-value work has been in and around Greer. We know the soil, the grades and the neighborhoods.

Common questions
How much does a retaining wall cost in the Greer area?
It depends on height, length, access and what the wall is holding back. Most residential walls we build land between $45 and $95 per face foot. A tall wall, a wall holding a driveway, or one that needs heavy drainage work costs more. Tim gives you a firm number after he walks the site — not a range over the phone.
Do you do the work yourself or send a crew?
Tim is on your job. He has been setting stone by hand since 1994 and he does not hand your project to a subcontractor you have never met. That is the whole reason people call him instead of a bigger outfit.
How far do you travel?
Greer is home base and where most of our work is. We regularly work throughout Greenville and Spartanburg counties and will travel roughly 50 miles out from Greer. If you are on the edge of that, call and ask.
How long is the wait to get started?
Spring and fall book out furthest. Call early — an estimate is free and getting on the calendar costs you nothing.
Natural stone or manufactured block — which should I use?
Block is faster, more predictable in cost, and fine for a straight functional wall. Natural stone costs more and takes longer, but nothing else looks like it in twenty years. Tim will tell you honestly which one your project actually calls for.
